My initial reaction was what the fuck. Jamie Collins is one of the most athletic linebackers in the league. A one two punch with him and Dont’a Hightower. Opposing offenses would gameplay specifically for Jamie Collins and the impact he has on the field.

The Patriots got a 3rd round compensatory pick from the Cleveland Browns. Imagine going from the best team on the planet to the Cleveland Browns!? The Browns are a laughable franchise. If you’re a Pats fan, send Jamie Collins your T’s and P’s immediately.

Does this trade make sense?

The Patriots are not a franchise who gives players “Von Miller money”. Tom Brady is the best quarterback in the league and isn’t the best paid. As Pats fans, all season we’ve been muttering, “We need to re-sign Collins and Hightower.” That was an absolute must because of how much of a threat they are. Now that Collins is gone, they have the ability to sign other guys on the defense like Jabaal Sheard, Chris Long, Malcolm Butler, and Devin McCourtey. (The pic is Night Mode, if your not using Night Mode, your a crazy person).

Want to know the craziest thing about this trade? Every single Pats fan is somewhat content with it. Do you know why?

Because of Bill Fucking Belichick that’s why. Every Pats fan has faith that he wouldn’t let us down. It’s literally incredible, how how much faith a fanbase puts into Belichick and Brady. Does it sting, oooooohh yeah it does. The Pats traded one of the best linebackers in the league for a 3rd round pick in exchange and the immediate reaction after “The fuck man?” is “Belichick must be up to something.”

It’s similar to the feeling Pats fans have in Tom Brady when there is less than 2 minutes on the clock and they have to march down the field for a winning drive. “Well we got Tom Brady.” I mean yea I’m concerned and still a little shocked, but #InBillWeTrust.

They acquired Lions starting linebacker Kyle Van Noy last week. Elandon Roberts has emerged as a key run stopper and is described from teammate Hightower as “a torpedo”. Thankfully the team has a Bye week and can recover losing a key player, and it’s going to be interesting moving forward.

Again I can’t stress this enough, Pray for Jamie Collins because he’s going to this Cleveland. Noted they have LeBron and the Indians are a game away from winning the World Series, but the Browns are a disaster. I keep muttering to myself freaking Jamie Collins man, this one hurts.

Tweet me @TheAlbumWeb if your as shocked as me. Also if your a Browns fan, this is a win, but you’ll probably lose next week so there’s that. Like and tell me your thoughts
